Too Good Gourmet was sought out to create a festive Day of the Dead packaging to be placed in markets across the US.  All Illustrations and photography were then laid into my hands.
In the research for the mood board there were several things that seemed at the utmost necessary to create a true festive design. The obvious was the sugar skulls, the least obvious was the beautiful decorative use of tissue cut outs. The roses and the tone of playing music were also needed for the high energy of the day. Also the oversize heads which is used in the folk art was too fun to pass up.
A close up of the two illustrations dancing with each other during the festivities.
What was once going to be the full set, but the time for that has not yet come to pass.
The bakery label, which whill be available this fall.
